My goal is to lead all age groups of up to 15 people on hiking tours that explore the wonderful National and State parks beyond the D.C. metro area. I have many years of leading groups on outdoor adventures all over North America, and want to share my enthusiasm and expertise with others, as well as help create an atmosphere for making some new friends! This group is for families with children at Columbia Elementary School in Annandale, VA., who are interested in hiking their kids to/from school. Typically, we start at 8:30 AM at Mason District Park, have time to check out the pond and playground, and hike just over a mile to Columbia to be there around 9-ish. Its a great way for kids to start the day! There are no set days. If the weather is nice, there is a good chance that there will be a hike.
