Anyone is welcome to join, but the walks will take place in and around these communities. We enjoy going on pack walks with our local dog trainer, but they don't always fit into our schedule. I got the idea to start this group because we couldn't find a pack walk group or dog walking group on this side of town. I'd l …
I would like to start a group for older people who are mostly alone and need some fun and friendship in their lives. By fun I mostly mean dining out. As a serious arthritic, I am not into hiking, mountain climbing, harley riding, etc. I would like to fold my arthritic hand around a martini, have a nice dinner and some good conversation. I would like to get to know members better and possibly even become friends. This site is not a singles site.

Looking for a "reason based" community? Sick of the sad state of science education and the gullibility of the average person? Since 2008 our members have been making friends, learning, challenging and being challenged with people who like to examine commonly held ideas and beliefs with a scientific eye. Take a break from those who forward dubious alarmist emails or buy into the latest panacea, religious idea, scam or utopian vision based on "truthiness" alone. Hang out for a laugh, write an act …

Let's all meet for coffee, a ballgame, a movie, or just a walk in the park. Please note that this is not a thinly disguised dating / hook-up group! If you are considering joining with that intent, please don't.
There are to date, 635 area people listing travel as one of their first meetup interests. Although there are wine groups that take overnight trips, hiking groups that take backpacking trips, and skiing groups that take skiing trips, there is no group specifically dedicated to taking trips just for the sake of traveling. I am starting this group to see if the 635 of us can meet, figure out the various needs, and start planning anything from weekend and long weekend local or regional trips to int …
