I decided to start this group because we have some really awesome and fun hiking trails in our area. And also, some of these agencies have docents that really rock. This group is for anyone who likes to go hiking, or for walks and would like people to go with. If you like walking with other people, if you are shy, frie …

Maybe some "hiking to music" in the form of Square Dancing or Ballroom Dancing. There will be some meetups at Cubberley Pavillion in Palo Alto where lessons are taught at 8pm every Friday and and Saturday nights. Some of our events will be small dog friendly as I have a Papillion. :) The age range is extended to make it a 35-65ish group. Anybody with …

Hi everybody. My name is Tamara. I have been thinking of creating this kind of meet ups for a while, and finally today, after my early morning great hike I decided to put all my creative thoughts together. So here I am: I would like to meet women who is entering their "big change" :) in life. A few years ago I have been there and looking back I sometimes can't believe how scary and hopeless I felt. You're a savvy chick that has some sort of interest in a vegetarian or vegan lifestyle. You're tired of Meetup groups that don't weed out people you won't fundamentally click with because of your morals and values. You're not necessarily a hippie-dippy freak, (I'm not), but you enjoy hikes, great veg food, happy hour, festivals, movies, and other normal stuff. You want to meet other women your age who won't think you're weird when you talk about tofu. Let's meet up and be friends. To keep this g …

This group is for beginning or experienced trail runners who are wanting to start trail running or get back in running shape after some time away (like me)! I have been away from the trails for awhile and am excited to get back. I was previously training long distances and just getting into ultra distance trail races when I had to take a break. I would like to start out with 60 to 90 minute run/hikes at Fort Ord and Toro Park.

I made this group because I had trouble finding an indie music group centered around the South Bay/San Jose area. As a grad student, I don't have money to dish out for tons of concerts, so I thought that we could meet at various affordable activities such as hikes, Farmers Markets, downtown excursions and happy hours (these are some of my favorites, but feel free to suggest more). There we can get to know potential concert buddies, discuss new/favorite music and plan events. I'd love to arrange …
