This will be about a 1.5 hour walk, not really a hike but will be at a moderately faster pace. We are starting earlier to due to the hotter days.

Kids and dogs are welcome if they have the endurance/stamina to keep the pace for this duration. Please be prepared to pick up after your dog.

Directions: From 620 North in RR. Head north on Great Oaks. There is a Chevron on one corner of Great Oaks and 620 and a Bank of America on the other. Travel approx 3 miles on Great Oaks. Take a left at the 4 way stop on CR 174. It looks like it's a dead end but Great Oaks does continue once you zig zag. There is a pool on the left and a little further a tennis court. You can park in the 7th entrance/parking lot to the left at the ball fields. Please use these directions if you are not familiar with the area. Google will not get you here

Anyways, I'll try to make the meeting time at the next meet, barring any more soldier problems I have to deal with the day before! I definitely would like to meet all of you still!

Well, after reading the directions again, I guess I just didn't distinguish the '/parking lot to the left' as a separate distinct descriptor. I thought it was just describing that it was the 7th parking lot to the left, not the 7th entrance [to the parking lot] and then meeting up at the left side of the park.

I'm also coming from Fort Hood and had a long Thursday and Friday; thus, making it harder for me to get out of bed in time for the meet.

Showed up a little bit late, but I didn't see any groups formed up. I ended up walking the trail east and back... I was wearing orange shorts and had on an ACU Camelbak, if anyone happened to pass me. Maybe we should setup a meet up point next time?
