Sally

I have never been to this lake to hike. It looks like there is a trail around the lake as well as other offshoot loops. You can use the link to find a map of the trails.

I will be in Canada until March 3 and generally without computer access, so I will try to check in now and then if there are questions, but will ready to go on March 7!

Dress in warm non cotton layers with waterproof footware. Jeans are bad.

I don't know if there will be enough snow for snowshoes, but bring them if you have them!

Bring and drink water....

Make sure to check the posts to see if someone near you wants to carpool too.

See you all soon!

Sally

The photos reminded me just how drizzly it was but it gave you that comfortable feeling that only a rainy day can do. I went back out to Pickeral today (Sunday 22) just because it is a nice place for a day hike. For those of you that haven't been out yet, better get your boots on.

    •  I had a real good time and enjoyed the new people I met. It was a very nice steady drizzling rain lending itself to a pleasant peaceful hike. Thanks to all attending and thanks to Sally. Marvin

Even in the rain it was great to be out hiking.

It was a rainy morning at Pickerel Lake Park, but as we hiked it wasn't a problem. The hazy atmosphere was great for picture taking. The people are always great to talk to. A must do if you love being outdoors hiking. After a hike, I always feel better physically and mentally. Though it's early in the morning, it's a great way to begin the day with so much time left in the weekend to do other things. Don't sleep in, join us for an exhilarating hike.
