This trail is about 3 1/2 miles that goes around a small lake. One part of the trail is hilly and wooded and the other is more like a field at the edge of the lake. And the nice part of this time of the year is that you can cut back across the lake at any time.

Dress in warm non cotton layers with waterproof footware. Jeans are bad.

I don't know if there will be enough snow for snowshoes, but bring them if you have them!

Bring and drink water....

Make sure to check the posts to see if someone near you wants to carpool too.

    I think I will try to park by the bath building at the beach area. There is a parking lot by the boat launch on your way in, but I will be at the bath house which is a little further in. I am driving a toyota corolla and will try to be in a place where you can easily see me.

    A word of warning, the DNR does patrol this park regularly and ticket vehicles that do not have a tag. You can purchase the tags there, and 2009 anual tags are already available if you would rather go that route than a daily pass. I am uploading a few pictures I took there a couple weeks ago so every one will have an idea of what it is like.
