Using the White Pine Trail beginning in Belmont and walking North from there. The length of this hike will depend on the weather. If it is beautiful clear evening, we can do a few miles. If it is cloudy and freezing rain,,,well then,,,we can walk to our comfort.

I just did a quick check and can't find the directions I would like to give you, but will post them before this date arrives.

See you soon!

I'm open to any of these places. Just let me know where & how to get there. Are we doing a roundtrip walk, or should we park a car at Rockford?

A couple of choices to eat closer to where we are starting our walk would be www.vitalessportsbar.com for vitalies or www.bcpizza.net for a pizza place in belmont

Well sounds like Terri and I so far are interesting in eating beforehand, others please post your interest.... I did a quick search and one possibility is a place called Fireside Pizzeria, directions from their website: (http://www.firesidepizzeria...) So that is option 1, I'm open to this or any other suggestions. My cell number is 307-7114 if we don't decide here. Ken

When I lived in Belmont, my friend and I would walk our dogs daily on the trail. It's a beautiful area. I'm looking forward to walking on the trail at night. I will pray the weather stays as pleasant as the last few days!

The past three nights have been beautiful with the moon shinning brightly! I can only hope that the weather will be just as nice in December!

I enjoyed walking on the White Pine Trail.

       Fun!

Except that we couldn't see the Full Moon through the clouds, the hike was great!
    • Kathleen (+1 guest)
This was a great idea....only improvement would have been if the skies had been clear...but this is Michigan and having clear skies on the full moon doesn't happen often. Thanks so much for organizing.
    • ELIZABETH (+1 guest)
I really enjoyed it ! And Jim was prepared for any and all occasions

Fun time even though Mother nature didn't cooperate (it was cloudy so we couldn't enjoy the full moon).
    •  What a great idea to hike at night!
    •  I'm a little late at responding. :) Had a great time chatting with the group!
    •  It was great to have so many people come out for the "moonlight" walk. Next time maybe it will be a clear night so we can see the moon! Thank you everyone!
