CARPOOLING

8:30 LEAVE from Red Hot Inn, corner of E Beltline and Leonard northwest corner of parking area

9:00 LEAVE from Macy's at Rivertown Crossings Mall, west end of parking area nearest the mall road.

My car is a Toyota Corolla and is resting while we hike for a good couple of hours, then driving into Saugatuck for lunch and maybe an hour or so of window shopping, then leaving for GR between 2 and 3pm. If you would like to ride with me, that is the plan.

Other vehicles can decide their own schedule.

Don't forget to bring water and layer your clothes for the weather...whatever that will be!

Dogs are allowed on trails on a leash, but not on the beach. (of course, this time of year I will probably cheat and take Jack anyway)

Hunters should not be hunting within the park boundries, but wear something bright anyway.

Maybe People...if you are on the list as a "maybe" please confirm yes or no by Friday please.

    Car pool sounds great, since I don't know anyone to go with. I have a Durango that will fit 6 comfortably or 8 if we squeeze. Let me know if your interested

    Does anyone have a great idea about where to carpool from for this hike? Some people can meet me downtown at College and Cherry, but there is not a lot of street parking there. I was thinking of Rivertown mall too. Any ideas? We will be hiking as many trails as people want to walk that day! Please let me know if anyone have scheduling issues and want to be back in town by a certain time. Personally I could walk all day!

      “ It was our first time with any meet-up group and we enjoyed it very much. It was also fun for my wife and I to return to Saugatuck State Park since we had not been there for about 20 years. It's too bad though that we did not start our hike in the afternoon. Once the morning fog lifted, it was a very unusually beautiful day for November in Michigan. ”
