This group is for people who are interested in staying healthy through exercise. Our main focus will be maintaining a regular Runyon Canyon hiking schedule.
The Los Angeles Department of Recreation and Parks manages Runyon Canyon. The park has several trails, with one entrance at the northern end and two entrances at the southern end.
We will try to set up a variety of hikes starting from both the North and South entrances. Pay careful attention to your meet up point or you might end up at the wrong entrance wondering what happened to the rest of the group.
Runyon Canyon is very dog friendly and has off leash areas for dogs to run free. Feel free to bring your well socialized dog along on our Runyon Canyon adventures. There isn't a lot of shade, so come equipped with adequate sun protection and water.
Hi! Everyone!
Let's try something different after the Thanksgiving feast-a hike to the infamous Hollywood sign! This trail is approximately 6 miles round trip.
Update:
Apparently dogs are allowed on the trails, but they'll have to be on leash.
Hiking boots are highly recommended.
Also recommended lots of water & a snack.
We'll meet at the 2nd parking lot by the Mary-Go-Around. Read more
