It's great fun! Most people wouldn't venture out for a night hike, on the mountain on their own. With this group, I highly recommend it.

The Moonshiners Hike seems like a good idea.........It could potentially be a great way to recreate near the Muir Beach area during the full moon. Before joining I would explore other hiking opportunities that might be better organized and delivered.

Chance to meet other people from different areas in the Bay area. Many different people from different areas of the country. Nice to network with others to discover the area when you are new here.

Always a fun and refreshing evening whether we hike in the mist and the fog or the balmy breeze and the moonlight.

I went to the 10/15 Moonshiner hike on a hunch. It literally morphed into the greatest night of my life so far. The moon was full, the air was warm. Tiburon and San Francisco glistened in the distance where I've both called home. Meeting at the english Pelican Inn was enchanting and I now adore it. The mood was real, inviting and the charm of the house and all who've enjoyed it mesmerizing. I even ate crab bisque soup - no one has that! We drank wine and guinness by candelight adoringly. We met new folk with tales from afar. We made our way up the mountain with a burning sunset behind us. The moon rose through the trees blessing the towns. John had it all figured out with tiny surprises that simply never stopped. But the best part, the vision in my head forever and ever is the walk at the top, toward the ocean, the silence in the moonlight, toward the verticle village, like Positano, Muir Beach cove, with the incandescent candlelight of their homes reflecting on the water. I want that.
