Hike the Park for Cancer

When I was hiking at Thunderbird Park this morning I received
on my windshield a flyer promoting Hike the Park for Cancer to
support the Lance Armstrong Foundation.
There was no mention of donations so I contacted the organizer
Terry Arden via email for more information. Terry responded
that he or she (not sure as unisex name and only contacted by
email!!) had lost their job and had intended to spend more time
organizing this event but has had to spend it job hunting so
the event is still happening but more as an awareness event
with requests to direct donations to livestrong.org which is
Lance Armstrong's Foundation site.
The hikes are Saturday, May 10 from 7-9AM and Tuesday May 13
from 5-7PM at Thunderbird Park which is off 59th Ave just North
of the 101.
I just wanted to put it out there to help out a fellow hiker. I
can't make it Saturday but I plan to be there Tuesday. I know
there are lots of other hikes going on these days but this is
for a good cause!! Hope to see some of you there on Tuesday
