Join us on a fast paced (2.75+ mph) 20+ mile hike on Mt. Tam.
I'm still working out the details, but the general route is Muir Woods -> Stinson Beach -> East Peak. I want to get in a couple of steep climbs, so if it's not too hot, we'll leave Stinson via Willow Camp, traverse across the north side to Lake Lagunitas, and get to East Peak via Collier Springs.
Expect 5000' to 6000' of climbing. Willow Camp and Collier Springs are both around 2000' climbs.
Bring food, water and $$ for snacks at East Peak and Stinson Beach.
It will be a long day, and I want to be back at the cars by 4:00, so we'll depart promptly at 8:00.
As usual, all are welcome, but please be comfortable with the pace and distance.

Lincoln and I were the only ones to do the entire hike. The others had to take short cuts due to time constraints. Stats: 21.3 mi, 5700' climbing, 10 hours My objective of getting back to the cars by 4:00 turned out to be a bit optimistic. The heat didn't help, but I doubt we would have made it if the weather had been perfect.
    •  Always great to be out hiking, but it got a bit too hot. We had one hiker on the verge of heat stroke. I cut it short and only did about 14-miles. I took the short-cut thru Music Camp and straight down Boot-Jack back to Muir Woods.
