Great Smokey's Hiking Meetup Group

Our group organizes and participates in hikes covering the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and surrounding East Tennessee Parks, National Forests, and other venues as suggested by members of our group. This group is based out of the Maryville and Knoxville TN area with some members from as far away as Florida. Anyone interested in doing one or two light Saturday or Sunday hikes in the Smoky's per month is more than welcome to join. We are an open venue with suggestions for hikes from light to strenuous hikes from all members of the group. When the weather gets warmer, we may organize some evening moonlight walks or hikes as an alternative to the park hikes. Who knows, maybe some overnight hiking and camping excursions during the summer months. This is a great way to exercise, appreciate nature, meet some new people. Could be a lot of fun, so join up!!!.

This is a nice hike to Grotto Falls in a great time of the year , all of the flowers should be up and blooming . Leisa is going to hike to Grotto Falls and is looking for other members to join her on the 17th . Read more
