We will cover three easy trails in one outing. Each has its own unique characteristics.

Here's a little info about each:

Around the Lake Trail: Has two viewing platforms above Tradition Lake in order to view wildlife on or around the lake with other interpretative sections. We will walk up part of the Power Line Trail to Big Tree.
Ruth Kees' Big Tree Trail: The Big Tree is a landmark tree - one of the largest Douglas fir trees located on Tiger Mountain.
Bus Trail: This links to the Around the Lake Trail to make an accessible trail loop from the High Point Trailhead. It is named for an old derelict Greyhound bus - no one knows for sure how this bus ended up in the a thick coniferoius forest.

On the way out, it may become dark, so be prepared to bring a headlamp or flashlight.

Up to 5 miles RT
Pace: Slow/moderate
Level: Easy

Remember to bring these essentials:
Hiking/trail shoes
Jacket
Extra Water
Food/snack
First Aid Kit

Suggested:
Hiking Poles
Headlamp and/or flashlight
Mosqueto repellant

Sunglasses, sunscreen, lip balm

Dogs allowed on leash.

If all the spots are taken, please check back a couple days or the night before for openings, watch or sign up for another event.

Since our group size is smaller and there are limited spots, please only RSVP "Yes" if you can make it. No need to RSVP "No."

After you arrive and park in the Tradition Plateau big parking lot, walk over to the group standing outside. We'll do a courtesy wait of 15 minutes, and then all leave at 6:15pm and make our way up the trailhead.

See you there!

    •  Sheri is a great host and leader, I had a great time.
    •  It was the first time I've ever seen a majestic Horned Owl about a foot and a half tall, sitting in a tree. Walking in the light drizzle under the canopy and variety of hemlock, maple, cedar, birch, and dogwood trees was exciting. Picking and eating the huckleberries, blackberries, and thimbleberries was fun. The smell and sound of the rain was relaxing. And the company, laughter and fun talks were great!
