- Hello my name is Kayla and I am new to Champaign-Urbana. I just finished a six year tour with the army and will miss all the force marches I had to endure! I want to meet fun people in the area and explore the great outdoors.
- What do you most hope to get from being a member of our group?

I would like to meet new people, get outside, breathe the fresh air, and explore my new home. I don't know much about this place.
- How long have you been hiking?

I have been a casual hiker for my whole life. My Dad encouraged it by taking the family to lots of state parks in my home state of Oregon. It was continued during my military service.
- If you could hike anywhere in the world tomorrow, where would it be?

Silver Creek Falls in Oregon or the big dune in Pacific City, Oregon and of course to return to the Austrian Alps.
- What has been your most memorable hike?

The Austrian Alps in midsummer. I totally enjoyed being in Austria and Germany at the same time.
