I have been getting more and more into hiking over the last few years, but have been hiking on and off for about 15 years now. I am always looking for big new (mis)adventure in the mts!
This year: nothing stands out in my memory as being all that hard ... although breaking trail to South Tri was very difficult this past winter.... and a solo trip up Tremont in late spring absolutely kicked my ass... waist deep in sloppy snow...
To enjoy the mountains as much as possible. I want to do more bushwhacks this year: The Fool Killer before New Years, a full Scar Ridge traverse (in full winter no less), and a Carrigan-Vose Spur winter trip as well.
Advanced but remember slow but steady wins the race.
All four seasons: good, bad, and ugly weather. Multi-day trips with at times improvised camp sites off-trail. Solo trips: dayhikes 3 seasons only.
For hiking adventures!
