Welcome to The New York City Hiking Meetup Group, founded in early 2004, the oldest of all hiking and outdoor groups on Meetup.  We organize many fun outdoor activities such as hiking, camping, backpacking, biking, skiing, snowboarding, ice climbing, rock climbing, mountaineering, and skating, etc., anywhere near New York City. We also organize some great off-the-mountain social networking as well.
