UPDATE: Please bring a boardgame, something for 4-people and easy to play is ideal, or a muchie or drink. Or it's okay just to bring yourself. Please update in your comment or send me an email. Grazie!
UPDATE: Please confirm by writing "CONFIRMED" as your comment by Friday 1PM. There seems to be a lot more folks in this group & the Campbell Boardgames Group who want to go.
Come see a crowd-pleasing fireworks night, sponsored by the City of Cupertino. It's one of the better local firework displays, both in terms of the length of the show and the ease of getting to (and leaving from) the event. It's free (unlike Mountain View's) and less hectic than San Jose's.
It's at Cupertino High School on the football field, which is just a couple blocks from my house. The fireworks start around 9:30 PM.
Please come to my neighborhood and park near the corner of Tilson Avenue and Wunderlich Drive. There's plenty of parking. Please arrive by 8PM. We'll walk over a few blocks to get a better vantage point.
Please dress appropriately as it can get cold after dark and bring a blanket and flashlight if you like.
YES people get my cell number. Please use GPS to find this corner. It's a little tricky to find coming from 280, that is, from the north, but easy to find from other directions. Some streets west of my house near the high school will be blocked off because of the fireworks.
After the fireworks, hang out at my place and play board games and Wii. There's 5 tables setup including 2 outdoor Tiki tables My housemates say we can play until the wee hours. :)
