Coastal hikes, inland hikes, simpler walks in town, cultural and social events -- we've expanded beyond the scope of the group's original name. Maybe some "hiking to music" in the form of Square Dancing or Ballroom Dancing. There will be some meetups at Cubberley Pavillion in Palo Alto where lessons are taught at 8pm every Friday and and Saturday nights. Some of our events will be small dog friendly as I have a Papillion. :)
The age range is extended to make it a 35-65ish group. Anybody with energy for good times and exercise, come along! Hope to see you, and look forward to your suggestions for activities. :)
Our policy is that you can "no show" 3 times - this means - you say "yes" you are coming and never change your RSVP to "no" and you do this 3 times, then you will be removed from the group. Please see "About us" for more information about how the RSVP system works and hiker safety on the trails, as well as information about why only small dogs are allowed to attend. Thank you -
We'll meet on Gharkey St. Near West Cliff, walk down past the Boardwalk, not on it, I'll have the dog with me. Across the Rail bridge and out along East Cliff Past the Whale Museum, along the beach to the jetty, around the Yacht Harbor culminating at the Crow's Nest. I think there will be hot apple cider for sale, bring money if we decided to get something at the Crow's Nest or at Cafe El Palomar. Watch the boat Parade. Read more
