A beautiful and popular hike through the foothills west of Colorado Springs. An old growth pine forest, cool mountain streams, and spectacular vistas are the main attractions on this hike. You can hike this trail counterclockwise, but the description goes in a clockwise direction. Enjoy; this is one of the best hikes near Colorado Springs.

Bring water and snacks. It is still springs so dress in layers. Last year I ended with a member becoming hypothermia, had to give up some of my clothes and stop the hike. So please, for your safety, no jeans or cotton clothes and dress in layers.

    Dress in layers of synthetics to keep warm & shed moisture. AS they say, "Cotton kills". Not something to take lightly out here were the weather can turn from sunny to snowy. Like my hike up to 7 Bridges & Jones Park last year. I started with shorts & ended up in 3 inches of snow, wearing winter gear.
