DESCRIPTION:Hiking Meetups > Let's hike and maybe take a break if we get ti
 red\n\nWelcome to the second leg of our First Ever Historic Skyline-to-the-
 Sea (S2S) series\n\nThe second leg is Waterman Gap to Big Basin SP.  The fu
 ll leg is 9.5 miles with 1300 ft of elevation.  *Note: The full hike does n
 ot end at the starting trailhead.*   Additionally\, this is a difficult hik
 e\; however we'd be delighted to have YOU join us as a driver (see below) i
 f the full hike is not for you this year.  Please check out the Hot Food th
 read if you haven't yet seen how you can help out with victuals.\n\nFor thi
 s leg: *everyone who is not camping* will meet at Big Basin State Park Head
 quarters.  This is where the hike will finish and it will mean that everyon
 e willl have access to their cars.  Our beloved driver hikers will ferry th
 e hiker hikers up to Waterman Gap\, where we'll meet up with the backpacker
 s and load up any gear they want us to ferry down to Big Basin.  All the hi
 ker hikers will walk the S2S trail.  The driver hikers will do whatever the
 y want and eventually meet the hiker hikers back at Big Basin in about 2-3 
 hours.  Beloved Queen Lindsey is coordinating the hot food at the end so be
  sure to check out the Chuckwagon Message Board Thread for opportunities to
  become part of our beloved volunteer corps.  \n\nFor all of the S2S hikes 
 (both practice and actual) we'll have both hikers and drivers.  The hikers 
 will be doing the full leg of the hike.  The drivers will also be hiking\, 
 but their main responsibility will be to drop folks off at the "start" trai
 lhead\, drive to the "finish" trailhead\, and do an out-and-back hike from 
 the finish point.  The turnaround point for the "driver hikers" will be the
  point that they meet the "hiker hikers".  I gotta think of some better nam
 es for folks\, but there it is for right now.\n\nIf you've heard me talk ab
 out this\, you know it's gonna be great.  We're so excited to have you join
  us\, either as a hiker\, as a driver\, or as someone who's going to join u
 s for lunch and celebrations.\n\nPlease be sure to include whether you will
  be a *hiker hiker* or a *driver hiker* or a *driver driver* in your RSVP.
