Meeting Description

Who

Anyone interest in a **BRISK** hike through lovely Bond Park. We'll be going around the lake with both paved and unpaved trails. Only a few stairs, generally flat, roots on the unpaved portion.

Why

Come out to a GREAT park and get some exercise! Enjoy this beautiful park with great people from our group.

Organized by

"Location: From the Maury Odell Pl entrance, follow the road to the stop sign, take a left (Metro Park Drive), then the next left into the parking lot of the Bond Park Community Center (http://tinyurl.com/3www76). I'm on a bike."

Details

Trying out a later start folks -- giving those of us who need it a little more time to make it to this wonderful venue. We have two routes, one is shorter by about 15 minutes or so. Map for Bond Park is now available under the "Files" section of the Meetup -- on the left of the screen you should see "Files". The shorter way is about 40-45 minutes, with the additional loop, we're just about an hour.

We will go for a BRISK (3.5 mph) 3 mile circuit hike through Bond Park (Cary's largest park) and around Bond Lake. Enjoy the exercise in a natural and peaceful setting. If thunder within 30 minutes of the hike, or raining more than a sprinkle, hike is canceled.

We will leave the parking lot at **6:45 pm** (+/-5 minutes).

Park and meet at the bottom of the Community Center parking lot (entrance is the Maury O'Dell Place entrance off of High House, 601 High House Rd) - Info/Map here has been updated with the exact location. Go to the stop sign on Maury O'Dell and turn left. The Community Center parking lot will be on your left. If full, park at the Senior Center off of Maury O'Dell.
