Short Hills Provincial Park is a park located in the centre of the Niagara Peninsula, bordering the city of St. Catharines and the town of Pelham in the Niagara Region in southern Ontario, Canada.

Located on the southern edge of the Niagara Escarpment, the park is a jumble of small but steep hills ("short hills") and valleys created by the last ice age. The effect was only compounded when the Twelve Mile Creek cut through the sedimentary deposits and glacial till.

Wildlife inhabiting the park include white-tailed deer, coyote, and meadow vole. Being at the north end of the Carolinian zone, many plants grow here that do not grow or are rarely found in other parts of Canada, including pawpaw, sweet chestnut and tulip-tree.

With its six-side trails including the Bruce Trail, and two magnificent waterfalls, it is easy to see why it is a local favorite. This park has a nice mix of both dense forests and open meadows, with meandering creeks and gentle hills that offer prime hiking conditions.

Directions: From the QEW exit at Regional Road 24 and head south through Vineland, until you come to Regional Road 69. Head east long 69 until you come to the parking lot. Look for the park sign that is set back from the road, there is ample parking here.

    •  went to T.O. to car pool spot and didn't find anyone.I didn't post that I needed a ride, but sent a message to get help.No one responded.Hopefully next time it wil work better
    •  A BIG thank you to the 3 people that showed up, especially our new friend TRISH who came up from the U.S.A to join in! The dinner was great too.
    •  Ghanesh is a GREAT guide because he is familiar with where he is going, he is considerate to the needs of others AND he keeps the hiking interesting. The hike was about 2 1/2 hours for our small group and we went to dinner afterwards. The trail is pretty and the terrain varied. I would suggest in knowing where the parking is before heading up to meet up. I was lost for an hour in flat farmland but so pleasantly surprised at the park inside.
    •  I had a good time, we had a lot of interesting conversations in our small group. Ghanesh was a great guide too.
