I like the spirit of the southwest, and especially the Rio Grande valley. I joined the hiking meetup group so I could burn off a few pounds and inches, but I stayed for the great people!
You should join because this group is fun. There are no losers here!

Shorty's Well, -250 ft To Telescope Peak, 11049 ft -- Death Valley, CA
"Epic accomplishment! Jim and Aaron consumed 14 liters of water climbing 11,300 feet in very tough country. 3 AM to 10 PM. Holy Cow! Does it get any tougher that this? Beautiful country!"
"Great hike! There was some nice friction slab scrambling. It was picturesque and a good workout. Tough on technology though: One lost cell phone and a crunched camera......ouch!"
"Great harvest moon! Good to meet some new people."
