Elevation gain: 1300 Feet

This hike will start at the Tree Spring trailhead in the Sandias. We will hike Tree Spring Trail to the Crest Trail, which we will take south to the intersection with Pino and Cienega trails. We will return the same way.

Please be prepared with appropriate footwear, layered clothing, at least two liters of water, plus lunch and snacks.

Dog rules:

1) The dog must get along with people and other dogs.
2) The dog must be capable of doing a moderate hike.
3) You must be willing to keep the dog on a leash if it becomes necessary.
4) You must bring adequate food and water for the dog.
5) You must be willing to drive your vehicle to the trailhead.

"Maybe" RSVP will be changed to "no" three days before the hike; please update your RSVP once you know either way.

       The weather was beautiful and the Crest Trail south of Tree Spring Trail was lush and wooded. Hike was a nice workout with stops to look at flowers and fossils and pleasant conversations with others in group.
