What is your craziest hiking memory (or "have you ever been chased by a bear")

"While hiking on a uncharted trail in the Smokies, I volunteered to run ahead to see where it wound up. I was watching so I didn't trip & came about 2 feet from running into a bear. I yelled, the bear ran & so did I. Not sure who was more scared."

What is your favorite place to hike in the Cincinnati / Tri-State area?

"Red River Gorge although I'm ready to find some new good places places to hike."

What do you do for a living?

"Engineering manager at GE on a new engine for a new plane."

Where are you from? (if you've lived lots of places, list them)

"I moved to Cincinnati as a youngster & have lived here most of my life except for a great year in California."

What is your favorite thing to do in the outdoors? (keep it rated PG, your mother might read this)

"Besides hiking, I like to do a little of many things: biking, rollerblading, running, rafting, coaching baseball. Wish I had time for more."
