What is your craziest hiking memory (or "have you ever been chased by a bear")

"I have never been chased by a bear (a buffalo in the Bad Lands, yes, but not a bear). I am somewhat afraid of heights, and am actively trying to conquor that fear. My personal craziest memory is probably being frozen on the rope on Cloudsplitter at the Red River Gorge this past summer. I was almost to the top when I chickened out. My ex-boyfriend had to climb down and push his foot against the rock so I could step on his foot to get back to the vine I climbed up on. By far my worst moment hiking. I'm determined to give it a second shot someday, and that time I will make it to the top."

What is your favorite place to hike in the Cincinnati / Tri-State area?

"I have spent most of my hiking time in the Red River Gorge. Locally, mostly walking in Sharon Woods. "

What do you do for a living?

"Accountant. "

"Liberty Township"

What is your favorite thing to do in the outdoors? (keep it rated PG, your mother might read this)

"Hiking on a trail and taking note of and appreciating the amazing things in nature; whether it is the way time has worn a rock with the influence of wind and water, a deep pine-smelling breath under the sun in early spring, how beautiful the leaves look in the various stages of color change in fall, how the Ohm Dome at Indian Stairway could have been created, or simply how the natural world balances itself so perfectly. "
