What is your craziest hiking memory (or "have you ever been chased by a bear")

"A man named Ed came running up a trail at the gorge (Auxier Ridge) yelling help. Poor Ed was lost, dehydrated, and hungry. We fed/watered Ed and walked with him two miles back to his car. He was from NY visiting his son. Ed told us that if he died to tell his wife that he wanted a Costco funeral"
