What is your craziest hiking memory (or "have you ever been chased by a bear")

"Never had a bear experience, but I have been terrified in the middle of the night by a racoon I THOUGHT was a bear, and by a monster (my friend had told a very convincing "true" horror story by the campfire before I'd trekked out to my campsite alone)."

What is your favorite place to hike in the Cincinnati / Tri-State area?

"Anywhere with trees and hills."

What do you do for a living?

"I'm a photographer."

Where are you from? (if you've lived lots of places, list them)

"I grew up in Cinci, went to school for 2 years in MI, moved to Denver for 3 years, Telluride for 2 years, then moved back here and bought a house in Newport in 1997."

What is your favorite thing to do in the outdoors? (keep it rated PG, your mother might read this)

"Hike! I also love to run, to swim, to kayak or canoe and to snow ski...Gotta get back on a bike too--I used to love mountain biking when I lived in CO but now I am RUSTY (my bike probably is too...)"

"My website is all weddings right now, but I do everything but commercial photography. I love my work, and I love being outside."
