Location: Cincinnati, OH us
- Introduction:
- "Haven't hiked in a long time, but like to get back into it. Thought this would be a great way to have fun and get fit. "
- What is your craziest hiking memory (or "have you ever been chased by a bear")
- "Definitely Vancouver Island, "French Camp". So far out, stopped at a nudist colony to ask directions. Arrived and a ranger said to watch out for cougars... so got the pots and pans out. Seen the tracks the next morning hiking along the beach."
- What is your favorite place to hike in the Cincinnati / Tri-State area?
- "Glenwood Gardens is close and good for a quick hike. There's three loops to it now. The last one has prairie grass, a field of wildflowers, canaries, a marsh, and a pond with bullfrogs."
- What do you do for a living?
- "I'm a Robert Kiyosaki person. Playing at being an entrepreneur, mostly real estate related, then mixed with some internet sales too. Something has to pay for the coffee beans. I have a business management degree and a list of other credits... never stop learning and always creative."
- Where are you from? (if you've lived lots of places, list them)
- "Born in Cincinnati, but had the west coast experience and lived along the Florida gulf. Learning my French and Hindi now."
- What is your favorite thing to do in the outdoors? (keep it rated PG, your mother might read this)
- "Just about everything, hiking, biking, climbing, soaring, splunking, but not to the point I'd give up a stay in a comfortable lodging... spa, pool and Dominos pizza wins every time. "

"Really good entertainment at Starbucks, didn't expect as much. Tree of Life has a lot of surprises. There are unexpected combinations in the dance and music. You have to catch their show, especially when they play outdoors, when the poi of feathers turns into balls of fire."

I could do the Audi too. There is no rule that says you can't have more than one awesome vehicle!

Thank you for the tip. I usually spend a couple of weeks in Florida every summer/winter.

I'd also like to suggest that we have separate workshops on: legal, accounting, tax, finances, marketing, general business strategies, hiring, growth, leadership and management, exit strategies and work/life balance.
On the same note, is there an interest and a way to get some $$ from OH or city to support small business growth here (chamber of commerce? etc...) so we can find a permanent space or a club house/business incubator hub? -
I'd like to propose that in our general meetings we dedicate about 10 minutes time for sharing latest thoughts about lead business strategies. For example, I recently read "Wikinomics" which deals with leveraging open source concept for business growth. "Re-Imagine" by Tom Peters is great for disruptive innovation and talent management. I just started "Blue Ocean Strategy" - so far very engaging. It's about strategies for expanging beyond present market boundaries towards new needs.

Hi Mike and all:
It seems that there is a growing interest in exchanging books, movies, or other useful reading material. For the next meeting let's make a quick survey to find out what kind of format would be most suitable for information sharing. I wish we have some permanent place where we can physically keep and share useful books and magazines. Blogs are great, but some books are not available in electronic format.
