Carter caves has a wide variety of cave tours.... check out --> http://parks.ky.gov/N...

From the rave reviews of Todd, Bethany, and all the others who participated in it last time the bat cave extreme tour seems very worthwhile, but is limited to the first 12. Unfortunately currently I understand you have to get on a waiting list. However there are a wide variety of other tours, both crawling and walking as you can see at the above file. Prices vary per tour.

There is also hiking, horse back riding, and boating among other things. It is possible to make this a day trip but not easy. The bat cave extreme starts @ 9:30 AM and is a very reasonable $20 for the all-day event! It is located (according to mapquest) a bit under 3 hours and 175 miles away - though I recall it being a bit quicker. We will set up car pools among those interested! Here is the link I used.

They have a pretty nice, though not secluded, camp ground. It is $17/night and so that would be divided by however many people are there (probably around $4/night). Sites can be viewed and reserved at this link --> http://kentuckystatep...
Pets are allowed on leash.

I have an extra reservation for the Bat Cave Extreme Tour. I think they are limiting that tour to 12 people, so if they run out of spots, I've got one I won't be using. I'll be driving down that morning and would like to carpool with someone who wants to make this a day-trip instead of an overnight.

Who attended?

    •  Carter Caves was great, the bat cave tour was, well extreme - and very wet, very dirty, and very interesting. The trails were wonderful - and the ice cream was excellent/
