I was routing the walk for Price Hill as it had been requested. Unlike the beautiful hikes in the higher end communities, these streets were lined with litter. I thought no way would I lead a hike here!! Then Christi and Janet suggested a clean up hike. Bring a trash bag and some latex gloves. As we walk, everyone can fill a bag and help celebrate Earth Day my making her a little more beautiful.

Please park in Lot 5 only. It is the lot closet to the Soccer Fields. Thanks to Cincy Christian University for their kindness.

Price Hill has some of the most breath-taking views of the city, beautiful churches, and the most charming little houses in spite of being in a state of slight disrepair.

We will follow the hike with lunch at Price Hill Chili, a Cincinnati landmark and most awesome neighborhood hangout.

    It's been a while since I've been on a hike with the group, but I love this idea. I'm looking forward to it.

Who attended?

    • “ It drizzled a little, but otherwise was wonderful. Residents thanked us and the owner of the Pit Stop convenience store gave us free beverages to show his appreciation. It felt like we did something really good for a community. ”
    • “ This wasn't as bad as I had orignally thouight. It didn't rain that much at all. The walk was good. We filled 14 bags of trash and got a lot of "Thank you" from the local residents including free refreshments in a local convenient store!! I wish more people would have joined us!! ”
    • “ The hike was very fun and a chance to spend some time with some very cool people. It is always a good feeling to meet some new friends and make a difference in the world. We left a nicer area behind everywhere we went and were thanked by several people along the way. I even ran across a fairly good size ribbon snake while going for a peice of trash under a bush. Every Hike is a new adventure. ”
