Update Fri 10:00 AM - Weather for Sat night looks very good. Holly is going up on Sat AM and will rent us 2 spots before the hike. Check with me and I'll let you know which sites we have. 513-293-2684. If there is a problem with cell phone service, look for my silver 4Runner with "hiker" license plates around the D11/D12 area.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

Update Wed Noon: I just checked the weather and there is a 90% chance of rain on Friday with a low of 38. If the weather doesn't change, I won't camp on Friday night (I've camped enough in the rain to know it is not that fun). Sat looks good so I will be there Sat night.

I have not reserved spots, but the ones we will plan to get are around D11, D12, D13 (next to the shower house). I can't reseserve a spot for just Sat night (2 night minimum) so I plan to wait and try to grab D11 on Sat AM before the hike.

Please update your RSVP if you plans change. If anyone plans to go on Friday no matter what, please contact me and I'll have you grab the site for the group.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

If you would like to camp, RSVP here. I'll get the spots, we can have up to 6 per campsite in tents.

I'll get ones with electrical hookups next to the shower house like we had last time. Sites are $26 per night so costs will be in the $5-$9 range per person per night depending on how many we have.

I'll bring a camp stove we can share.

Please say in your RSVP if you want Friday night, Saturday night, or both. Based on the RSVP's I'll reserve the spots and let you know where to come.

Space should not be a problem. I just checked their website and most sites are open.

You need a sleeping bag and some sort of ground pad or air mattress to make it comfortable. If you are buying a sleeping bag, get one rated for cold weather. Wal*Mart carries them and they are not that expensive. You will need a tent or share a tent with someone. Bring some food and maybe a cooler for your stuff. We are near a shower house, but you should bring a towel, soap, toothpaste, flip-flops etc. Bring a chair to sit by the fire.

Hello, I am new to our groug and have never camped before, but I am very interested in camping. Any advice about camping would be appreciated. By the way, I look and talk very different than Stewie, thoug I admire his pundit composure and royal accent. Thank you in advance and look forward to meeting our group in person.        Thanks, everyone, for all the fun and libations!
    •  Lots of fun sitting around the campfire, telling stories, drinking wine, and having fun. Tim made a great fire, lots of yummy food (from hot dogs to filet mignon). Kids had fun roasting marshmallows. Adults had fun melting bottles.
