Welcome to the St Louis Nature Meetup Group. Is it a hiking group or a nature group? Nature is where you find it. It's in the woods, by the river, on a bluff or under a magnifying glass. Yes, this is a hiking group, but we will be enjoying a broader range of activities than just hiking. This is an exploring, experiencing, sharing group of friends looking for what's around the next bend in the trail. This is my vision for this group, but I'm anxious to find out what your's is. Exploring new and unusual places is what this group is about. Our events are Nature Walks taking time to enjoy the sights and sounds along the way. Watch the Events & Message Board for some of the events coming up & look at the Photos from past trips.

Photos of past meetup events
Photos are an important part of this meetup site. There are about 40 albums of 20-40 photos each. The instructions below should help you get the most out of the photos on this site or any other meetup site.

Viewing the photos on Meetup sites

1. Go to the Welcome screen on the site.

2. On the lower left of the screen, click (Left Click) on the link "Photos". If it isn't visable, scroll down the page using the scroll bar on the upper right of the screen.

3. When you click on photos this will take you to the Album Page. The first album will be the current album and the last one entered.

4. There are 2 scroll bars on the right side of the screen. The left one moves you through the thumbnails of the current album & the right one moves you up & down on the page and through the albums at the bottom of the page.

5. Using the right scroll bar, scroll down to the album you would like to view and click on it. This is now the current album.

6. There are two ways to move through the album. A: Click on "Next" or "Previous" above the current photo to move through the album sequentially. B: Scroll down through the thumbnails to find a photo you want to view and click on it.

7. There are 4 size levels you can view. A: Thumbnails. B: Screen size , viewed when you click on a thumbnail. C: Full screen size, viewed when you click anywhere in the full screen size photo. D: Large print size , viewed when you click on the small square in the lower right corner of the full screen
size or the plus sign in a circle. Place your curser in the photo and after a few seconds the little square should appear for you to click on. Moving the right scroll bar will return the view to the thumbnails.
