Mission Statement - This a not-for-profit membership and our mission is to: 1. promote the conservation of Missouri and Illinois prairie, forest, fish and wildlife resources, 2. promote fun and fellowship among hikers who wish to enjoy our region's natural beauty, 3. promote learning about the region's geology, wildlife and plants and the threats to them.

Nature Lovers,
It has been a very busy past year and a half for me and with hardly any hikes done, if any at all. There for, I am making a mid-year resolution (back in July) to try and hike once a week. My schedule is so over the place thus there will be no consistent day or time for these hikes. This though might give some other people a chance to go who usually do not. Read more
