THE MEET-UP:
Lets go backpacking to a beach! Friday August 14 - Sunday the 16th I have booked two adjacent campsites at Parson's Landing on Catalina! 12 people total will be attending. However, I have 2 slots open for meetup members. 1 male and 1 female.




The Parson’s Landing Campground is a secluded beach camping site located 7 miles west of the village of Two Harbors. There are eight primitive campsites in all and they are accessible via a flat, beautiful seaside hike or kayak trip.



My group will be hiking the 7 miles to camp with pack from the boat landing at Two Harbors and taking a picnic and snorkle/swim break along the way. The trip should take about 4 hours depending on our mood and length of break. Please do not sign up if you are not fit enough to hike that distance with all your own supplies.



Shade structures and running water are not provided at the campsite; you must pack in your supplies such as food, drink ;) ,sleeping bag, pad, tent, stove, cooking supplies, dishes,appropriate clothes, light, sun block, hat, bathing suit, towel, wet suits, snorkle, fins etc.

15 gallons of drinking water for our 12 people will be provided while there. This really adds to the camping fee. :(



I encourage friends to share tents so we can carry less on the boat over and on your back. Average August temps are 75 high-65 low. Moon will be last quarter-banana moon.

Pets are not allowed in the campsites :( General age looks like 35-45.



The campsite includes-

BBQ and fire ring
Picnic Table
Ocean w fishys!!
Chemical Toilet
5 bundles of firewood w firestarter

15 gallons of water to be shared among the group...
i.e. each person gets 5 qts of water while there 4pm Fri-noon Sunday.



6 women and 6 men with fun tudes~ Absolutely NO EXTRA PEOPLE as water is tight.


Sunday~Optional kayaking on last day at Two Harbors~ Extra cost 69.00
for 3 hours guided kayak and snorkle tour which includes snorkle, snack, kayak and guide. Or rent a kayak yourself for 17.00 an hour Single or 22 an hour double.

MTB for rent including permit and helmit for 53 a day or 17 an hour.



Do cover your water needs for the 7 mile hike in.



Costs for campsite/extra water/wood/paypal fee per person is 42.00 for the 2 nights payable to me the day of signup at paypal.com to romeblu151@aol.com. I don't do checks, I don't do cash, I don't do drama. Everyone going must have a positive hx with the others already going.

Getting to Two Harbors- The boat we will take will leave from San Pedro Berth 95 and the cost is 66.50 rt.

****It is important you book your boat transport yourself after you have paid me and I confirm you made it on. If I don't email you that you made it and you go ahead and buy your tix you will not be camping with us . There are other people paying from multiple websites and they may beat you.

I like the Friday's San Pedro-Two Harbors 10am boat and the 6:15 pm Sunday return. Trip is 1 1/2 hour.

Parking at San Pedro dock is expensive-25 bucks for the weekend. Closer to the date I will provide options for this.

Everyone is encouraged to add to the entertainment! Stories, games, jokes, guitars, the whole thang.

Again be able to trek for 7 miles with your pack full. No wimps!! Newbies go to Rei and rent and or Sports Chalet. Please be able to add to the entertainment!!!
