Moderate hike in one of LA's best kept secrets

A large, beautiful park complete with lakes and waterfalls in the middle of the city! Hike involves about five miles round trip, maybe 1,000 feet of gain.

Bring sturdy shoes, camera, crackers for the ducks.

Learn about the history of this park.

Meet 9:00 AM in the park. Enter from La Cienega Blvd a few miles south of the Santa Monica (I - 10) freeway. See Link above for map. After entrance station ($4), turn left at first opportunity.

4100 South La Cienega Boulevard (Los Angeles, CA 90056) in Baldwin Hills. Landmark to watch for as you are traveling south on La Cienega is the Target Store on the right. The Park is located shortly after that...and you must bear to the right to take the turn off to get in. After you pay the $4 proceed forward until you can turn left at the first opportunity into a parking lot. We will be there.
