“ It was my first wilderness hike and it kicked my butt (and this is considered an "easy" hike)!!! The hike to the waterfall was easier than the return trip, as there is a series of hills right after the waterfall. However, when all is said and done, I finished (although, I was pretty much wiped out for the remainder of the day). I plan to participate in more hikes; although, for now, I can only handle the "easy" hikes. ”

“ Folks seemed friendly enough but we had to introduce ourselves as no-one else took the initiative. Would have been nice to have organizer leave indicators at ALL points of potential confusion (to be fair, on rock arrow was left to help direct). No real socialization before the event and as we finished before everyone got back (still don't know how that happened--we took the full 6 mile course) we didn't have a chance to meet anyone afterwards. Funny thing was that we spend about 30 minutes in the parking lot with leaders from the Sierra Club. ”
