Walk #5 from 60 Hikes within 60 miles Houston
Located in Houston Heights, the White Oak Bayou Hike and Bike Trail is located in one of the oldest neighborhoods in Houston. In 1973 the Houston Heights Association was established to revitalize the community and preserve its historic buildings.
Walk will begin at 5:30, try to get there a few minutes before.
Start: Parking lot across from the Stude Park Community Center.
Directions: From 610 Loop West and Interstate 10, drive 4 miles east to the Studemont exit. Turn left, to .25 miles to Stude Street, and turn right. The parking lot is straight ahead.
The length of the trail loop is 1.97 miles, we will do it twice for a total of 3.94 miles. Hiking time about 1-2 hours depending on pace of group.
Note: Restrooms in the area are not very clean, so try to change before the walk.
Bring water, hats, flashlight, proper walking shoes.
Happy trekking!
