I have weekly requests to reduce the numbers of emails that go out. I wonder if you would prefer that event organizers schedule events, post on the calendar without sending out notices or reminders? Would you prefer to be self directed in your search for events and activities rather than getting the event notices?

We had an event at the Elephant and Castle Pub in Richmond about one year ago. We had the entire upstairs section availiable to us, which is separate from the remainder of the pub. There are table and chairs and a pool table. You can order food and drinks from the waitress and each member would pay their own bill. Normally the venue has a rental fee for the room But I am discussing the possibility of them providig the venue free of charge to us on a bi-monthly basis. They would be set up for a Friday or Saturday night It holds about 70 people. Please let me know if you would be interested in having the Hiking Meetup organize regular bi monthly events and if you would attend.
