Hiking the peak twice would be great training for half dome, but 4:30 (?!) is way too early for me... I give you props 4 trying such a feat!

I've changed my plans... more torture: starting the hike at 4:30 AM (to get to the top before sunrise - at least that's the goal). See the message board and let me now if ya wanna join me.

I've done this hike about 4 times now. There is a good chance the lot will fill up by 10:00 am as it is a popular park. As I noted in my "maybe" I'm thinking of getting started by 5:30 AM. People who really want to test their Half Dome readiness can join me and we can hike it twice! If you can do this twice, Half Dome shouldn't be too hard. Mission Peak is steeper!

I've added a "Maybe" option for those who aren't so sure and let others to be on. Please be prepared to tackle a grueling hike to the top in such a short disatnce, wear sturdy hiking shoes and a hiking poles (if avail).

Who attended?

    •  It was warm and a great workout. Thanks everyone for the encouragement to make it the 2nd time. The 4:30am hike was much easier.
    •  Good group, it was a little warm, but managable.
    •  Unobstructed 360 degree view of the entire bay area. The weather turned out to be just fine, breeze from the bay makes ascending the bare trail comfortable. Nice group of people.
    •  I thought it was well organized. I had a great time meeting many new cool people and checking out Mission Peak, that was the first time for me.
    •  great weather and a cool group. it was a nice time..
    •  nice, enthusiatic group! It was soooo hot :)
    •  It was my first hike ever! I made to the top & back!:) I liked it very much! The view was amazing!
