- I am a retired widower with over 40 years in Las Vegas. The outdoors and hiking is one of my many pastimes as a senior citizen. Life is great when you have your health.
- Why did you join the Las Vegas Hiking and Outdoors Meetup?

To meet other people who enjoy the outdoors. I have been on many local hikes but would like to find others with your group.
- Where would you most like the group to go on an outing?

The Canyon Overlook Trail in Zion National Park only if the weather is good... The Liberty Bell Arch would be good for this time of year.
- Where is the most scenic place you've ever hiked or camped?

The Great Basin National Park, Cedar Brakes, and the Sedona, Cottonwood areas.
- How did you get started hiking, or what has gotten you back in to it?

I've always been a walker and traveling to new places is in my blood. One of these days I want to hike in and out of the Grand Canyon if I can work into the challange.

“ I've come up with some matchbooks with excerpts from his weekly Texas Straight Talk column on the inside and am selling them on ebay. Search for Ron Paul matchbooks on ebay. These are great for handing out to people on the street or whereever and even non-smokers keep a book of matches around. Rather than talk about how smart the man is, show people with his own words! “ Welcome Von. The Next meeting will always be the second thursday of the month, so you never need to guess. The location will be picked when we know how many will attend the kick-off. Main thing here is this will be an active live networking group, not an email group like most of the other meetups. Have a safe trip in Colorado and get lots of super shots. Next time could you make a little room for us though?
